We have included a list of masks under this list. They approximate some commonly available mask types. Based on your selection of mask type, mask exhalation and inhalation efficiency are chosen. Note that inhalation and exhalation efficiencies are typically different for different masks. Also, actual efficiency in the field may differ from lab tested values so you will note that we have made some conservative approximations regarding the mask’s filtration efficiencies. Mask type, along with what fraction of people are wearing the masks, is used to determine how much of infectious quanta released by a patient reaches the air in the room and how much of that may be inhaled by an occupant. If unsure of what specific mask type select, select Mixed.
